The F1 drivers are unanimous about Verstappen’s future title
As the end of the championship approaches, the winner of this edition seems all but decided. With a 116-point lead over his closest rival, Verstappen should secure the title for the second consecutive year. A well-deserved victory for his fellow drivers.

While the title seems within reach and Verstappen should win his second consecutive championship, several drivers wanted to pay tribute to his season and potential title.
The Dutch driver has had a great season and is on a five-race winning streak. He could continue his streak this weekend at the Singapore Grand Prix.
The first one to congratulate him is his teammate Sergio Perez. He believes that the Dutchman fully deserves his ultimate victory.
« The situation doesn’t change at all from my side. Of course, it’s only a matter of time before Max becomes champion. Max totally deserves his upcoming title. So, the most important thing for us is to stay focused in order to finish the season as well as possible in the remaining six races. There’s no question of letting up, and personally, I want to finish as the team’s runner-up.

Mick Schumacher highlights his growing strength throughout the championship.
« Without going into too much detail, I think what he has achieved is quite impressive. He had a difficult start to the season, but he then turned things around with Red Bull and everything seems to be working well for them.

On his part, Esteban Ocon is impressed by the spectacular comebacks that Verstappen has achieved.
Translate:
« It’s a very, very impressive season from him. The way Max can start at the back of the grid and make his way up the field is incredible; he knows how to position his car on the first lap and things like that. I think he’s at the top of his game this year and deserves to win the championship.

Alexander Albon preferred to emphasize that it is not over yet, even if the final outcome seems inevitable.
He would probably prefer that we wait for him to win the title before talking about it, but obviously, he has been very impressive and credit also goes to Red Bull. I think they have been able to evolve their car throughout the year and, I don’t want to say they have gained an advantage over the others, but they have clearly done a very good job.
To conclude, Lando Norris praised the season of his Dutch compatriot as well as the work of Red Bull.
« Bravo to him. He obviously did a great job. His team provided him with a very good car to help him. But I think nobody doubted it, especially after last year. You see the car they produced and the results they achieve every weekend, he manages to easily win even when starting last. So congratulations to them and for the upcoming title. »
