A warning for Bottas’ Alfa Romeo regarding his gearbox quota
While Valtteri Bottas had solid free practice sessions, the driver was given a warning due to using a gearbox for the 4th time beyond the allotted quotas.

Valtteri Bottas has received a warning for another use of a gearbox, out of the 4 allowed per season. This is the last one possible.
The driver is not at risk at the moment and is just being reminded after using a 4th gearbox out of the 4 allowed outside of those allocated for Saturday and Sunday of the Grand Prix. Drivers are indeed allowed 4 different gearboxes during qualifying and the race, but they can use an additional gearbox 4 times during practice, outside of the quota. From the 5th change onwards, there will be a 5-place grid penalty.
The Finnish driver had solid practice sessions with a 13th position in practice 1 and a 7th place later in the afternoon in practice 2. For the Chinese driver, it was more challenging with a 17th and a 15th position.
The team will have to be careful during the next Grand Prix in order to avoid seeing its drivers penalized.
