Nyck de Vries in the AlphaTauri in Abu Dhabi!
While he has just completed his final run with Mercedes, the young Dutchman has his eyes set on the future. He will be driving for the AlphaTauri team starting from the end of the 2022 season. Nyck de Vries will make his first laps with his new team during the dedicated young driver tests after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Nyck de Vries is one of the sensations of this 2022 Formula 1 season, after his last-minute replacement and signing with AlphaTauri, the young Dutch driver will be racing in Abu Dhabi. It didn’t take long to see him start in the Faenza car. Franz Tost confirmed this Saturday afternoon the participation of the new recruit of AlphaTauri in the Abu Dhabi tests.
During these tests, Nyck de Vries will drive his fifth different car this season after Aston Martin, Mercedes, Williams, and Alpine. This will be an opportunity for him to learn how to work with a team with a very different culture and resources compared to Mercedes, where he spent three years.
