Special helmets for Red Bull drivers at the Mexican Grand Prix
The Mexican Grand Prix is a special event at Red Bull, which includes the local hero Sergio Pérez. For this race weekend, both team drivers are sporting unique helmets. Last year's winner and holder of the most victories on the Mexican circuit, Max Verstappen, also has a special connection to this Grand Prix.

The 2022 season is a real success for Red Bull who has already won the drivers’ and constructors’ titles with 3 races to go. Sergio Pérez currently holds second place in the World Drivers’ Championship and could achieve the double for the Austrian team.
Sergio Pérez unveiled his special helmet on Wednesday, painted in the colors of his national flag, which also includes many details specific to Latin culture. The most remarkable element of this unique design is the drawing featuring a Mexican wrestler’s mask. Excited about wearing it in front of his home crowd, the Mexican driver declared on his Twitter account that it was the Mexican helmet he had never worn before. He is one of the favorites for this Grand Prix, and if he were to win, he would have a significant advantage over his closest competitor in his pursuit of the vice-champion title in the world drivers’ championship.
“This is the latest helmet revelation of the year and it’s truly special. We’ve secured an extra gold medal, after winning the driver and constructor championships. For the rest of the season, I will be driving with this helmet decorated with gold leaves. It has made it very special, and with the white surrounding it, it looks really cool. This world championship helmet holds a special meaning, as it’s a special year for everyone at Red Bull. It’s a season that will be remembered for sure,” said Max Verstappen on his website.
