Esteban Ocon: Against McLaren, there’s « no time to rest »
The battle for 4th place in the constructors' championship continues to rage between Alpine and McLaren. This weekend in Brazil, Esteban Ocon and Alpine are expecting another tough battle.

With this Brazilian leg, there are only two Grand Prix left to be held before closing the chapter of 2022.
With the driver and constructor titles already decided, the stakes now lie in the midfield. Spectators are of course keeping an eye on the battle between Alpine and McLaren for the 4th place among the constructors.
The advantage is currently in favor of the French team, with 153 points, against the 146 units of the British clan.
Esteban Ocon was asked a somewhat rhetorical question: will we need to rest, this weekend, at Interlagos? The obvious answer did not wait. « No, not at all, there’s no time to rest! The season has been long, a lot has happened, and we cannot lower our guard before the checkered flag at Abu Dhabi. »
Resources to be exploited
The pace of the 22 Grand Prix races this season has been held at a frantic rhythm. It was necessary to manage the mechanics while trying to improve the cars.
For McLaren, in this case, some weekends have been more successful than others. It must be said that Lando Norris, facing a struggling Daniel Ricciardo, almost single-handedly carries his team to keep them in the game.
Esteban Ocon doesn’t make any mistake: he knows that the orange machine can show a good pace. McLaren was very fast in Mexico, while we had ups and downs throughout the rest of the season. I think this weekend will be good for us.
At Interlagos, the tricolor racing car could feel right at home, as the Sao Paolo circuit demands a good engine, especially on the straight lines. The sprint race on Saturday could also favor Alpine, while Lando Norris, who suffered a food incident, is likely to be absent. Stay tuned!
