Felipe Drugovich to learn alongside Alonso in 2023
Felipe Drugovich is the 2022 Formula 2 World Champion, but he won't be moving up to Formula 1 in 2023. The young Brazilian prodigy will be a reserve driver for Aston Martin, and is looking forward to learning alongside Fernando Alonso.

Felipe Drugovitch (22 years old) impressed with his consistency. He is now the reserve driver for Aston Martin. His arrival within the English team is not insignificant, as he becomes the first driver of the Aston Martin Academy.
An enriching experience
After 3 seasons in Formula 2, he is making the big leap by arriving in the premier category. It is an important step in his career. This transition to a Formula 1 team will allow him to understand these very complex and delicate cars to set up. He will be accompanied by Fernando Alonso throughout the next season, a valuable support according to the Brazilian driver.
He doesn’t need an introduction. He has been very kind to me. I hope I can learn a lot from him next year, he is the right person to learn from.
“The Brazilian driver declared, to the Spanish media SoyMotor.”
To be on the grid one day.
Felipe Drugovich will drive for the English team in 2023, but he also wants to learn from the Formula 1 environment by participating in team briefings. His ambition is to successfully lead the team’s new driver development program of which he is a part. He is showing ambition!
The ambition is high enough for this driver development program to succeed. I’m the first one doing it and they really want it to work, just like me. I will work very hard to be on the grid one day.
