Pérez feels no pressure following Ricciardo’s arrival at Red Bull
Sergio Pérez doesn't see his position in the team threatened by Daniel Ricciardo's arrival as Red Bull's 3rd driver in 2023.

During a demonstration in the center of Milton Keynes, Sergio Pérez talked about Daniel Ricciardo joining Red Bull as the 3rd driver in 2023.
The arrival of a driver as experienced as Daniel Ricciardo in the Red Bull team roster is not without consequences. The Austrian team will be able to rely on an experienced and fast driver to help develop their car.
No pressure
However, the Australian driver will mainly be conducting commercial operations and demonstrations behind the wheel of old Formula 1 cars from the Austrian team, according to Christian Horner. Sergio Pérez is relaxed following the announcement of this new recruit at Red Bull, and he is delighted to be able to exchange with Ricciardo next season.
The Mexican driver declares on the Sky Sports microphone: “I am very relaxed, we always live with a lot of pressure, so it doesn’t change anything for me. I think it’s a great achievement for the team to have a driver like Daniel. He will bring a lot to the team. He’s a good guy. He’s one of the people I get along with the best in the paddock.”
Max Verstappen’s teammate, therefore, does not feel any pressure in relation to his regular seat following the return of the former Red Bull driver.
