Formula 1 is ready to welcome new teams
The premier discipline of motorsport is once again attracting teams, but it had not been able to show itself welcoming until now. Mohammed Ben Sulayem brings a message full of hope for the upcoming seasons with a message posted on his Twitter account.

The technological complexity of Formula 1 and the high costs associated with participating in the discipline have hindered the entry of many teams wishing to make their debut in the sport. This critical situation is one that Formula 1 has been unable to remedy since 2016 and the arrival of Haas as a new fully-fledged team.
A surge of hope
Formula 1 has managed to attract new entities in recent years. The arrival of Audi scheduled for the 2026 season is proof of this. However, the German manufacturer will replace Alfa Romeo as a partner of the Sauber team. So this is not the arrival of a new team. The president of the FIA posted a message on his Twitter account, raising hopes for the arrival of new teams in the coming seasons.
I have asked my teams at the FIA to consider initiating a process for expression of interest from potential new teams for the Formula 1 World Championship.
“The president of the FIA stated on his Twitter account.”
This dynamic aiming to welcome new teams could facilitate the arrival of Andretti in Formula 1. The American team led by Mario Andretti’s son wishes to make its entry into Formula 1 soon. However, the discussions between the Formula 1 authorities and the prestigious American team have not yet resulted in an engagement in the top discipline.
