Scott McLaughlin deserves a chance in Formula 1 according to Romain Grosjean

“The guy who surprised me the most is Scott McLaughlin,” revealed the French driver to Motorsport Magazine. “IndyCar works a little differently from F1 in terms of the experience you need in racing, and that’s why you see that the veterans are doing quite well. But the race is tough and the competition is fierce,” assures the Andretti team driver to Motorsport Magazine.

According to Romain Grosjean, Scott McLaughlin should undertake a Formula 1 test to demonstrate his potential behind the wheel of a very fast car. Unfortunately, the lack of recognition of IndyCar at the level of the Super License negatively impacts the chances of seeing a talented IndyCar driver race in Formula 1. « I think he should take a test in F1. He would be fast. This guy is very special », claims Romain Grosjean to Motorsport Magazine. « What I think is wrong is the number of points we get in IndyCar. I think it should be at least at the level of Formula 2. There are very fast drivers », the French driver adds.
