Max Verstappen is furious after the chaos of the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans
The reigning double Formula 1 world champion participated in the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans with his team, Red Line Racing. Max Verstappen had to deal with repeated disconnections throughout the race.

An impressive start to the race.
After a qualifying session where he narrowly missed the pole position, Max Verstappen, who started in second position on the grid, didn’t wait long to take control of the race. The Dutch champion overtook Laurin Heinrich just after the Dunlop arch descent to take first place. Significant disconnections forced the race management to display two red flags in order to address this technical setback.
A fatal disconnection
While the two LMP2 cars from Red Line team were firmly in the lead of the race in the early morning, car number 1 driven by Max Verstappen was disconnected and was unable to regain its lap due to a race regulation appendix. The Dutch champion was furious to no longer be able to contend for the victory after this incident, which was not due to a piloting error, and decided to withdraw his car from the race with the agreement of his entire team.
It is a real disappointment for the Red Bull team driver who trains relentlessly for months to compete at the highest level of Sim-Racing. He cannot comprehend that such errors can occur in an event of this magnitude. One of the points raised by Verstappen – and by other drivers also affected by these issues – is the game chosen for this race, which was not originally designed for such events.
“They can’t even control their own game.” This is already the third time it happens to me now, being kicked out of the game while doing this race,” says the Dutch driver during a live broadcast on Red Line team’s YouTube channel.
You prepare yourself for five months to try to win this championship, you are leading the championship, you are trying to win this race for which you have been preparing for two months, and they handle it like this.
I really hope that the organizers will think about where they will promote this game, because on this platform, it won’t work.
