The Jeddah circuit will be on the F1 calendar until 2027
The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix will take place at the Jeddah Circuit until 2027. The first layout that hosted Formula 1 in Saudi territory is expected to be replaced by a permanent circuit after the end of its contract.

A significant extension.
Appearing on the Formula 1 World Championship calendar at the end of the 2021 season, the Jeddah Circuit will host the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix until 2027. At the end of this contract, a new, more modern and innovative circuit is expected to host the pinnacle of motorsport. Significant revisions to turns 21 and 23 will take place to enhance safety for the drivers.
We worked closely with Formula 1 and the FIA to make some small changes to the corners, primarily to improve the visibility for the drivers. “When you’re racing at 200 mph and you’re just a few centimeters off the ground, it’s crucial to have visibility of the next section of the track,” says Martin Whitaker, CEO of Saudi Motorsport Company.
The Qiddiya Circuit is currently under construction and is expected to be ready by 2027. It will replace the Jeddah track for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Saudi Arabian motorsport authorities have big plans for the new venue, which will not only serve as a Formula 1 racing track but also as a major entertainment destination and a benchmark for other Grand Prix races on the calendar.
The Qiddiya automotive center is designed to be the world leader in the design and entertainment of Formula 1 circuits. A unique and exciting project, Qiddiya will be a place that everyone will want to visit, but at the moment and in the near future, the attention and eyes of the world will be turned towards Jeddah, says Martin Whitaker.
