He states that his first mission was to meet as many people as possible to understand as many aspects as possible. I believe that there is a lot of potential and I know that every team is primarily based on human relationships.

He has already been struck by the motivation that reigns on the side of Maranello, which makes him optimistic for the upcoming season. « The atmosphere within the team is very good, I have been impressed by this. We now need to ensure that this is the case at every level of the pyramid. What makes me optimistic is that the motivation within the team is very high. During my time at Sauber, I had colleagues who came from Ferrari and they told me that in Maranello, nothing is impossible. After two weeks, I can confirm that it is true, nothing is impossible, there are skills to move mountains and this will be important during the season. »

No driver number 1.

The drivers will start on equal footing, notably thanks to the fact that the Scuderia claims to provide them with similar cars. I believe that Ferrari has the ability to provide exactly the same car for both drivers. The goal is to win, it’s not about winning with Charles, it’s not about winning with Carlos or anyone else, the goal is to win. My policy on this matter is clear, we will push with both drivers, and if at some point during the season it becomes clear that we need to push more for one of the drivers, then we will align ourselves around him, but we don’t have a number one or number two driver. The number one is Ferrari.

According to Frédéric Vasseur, there is no question of treating the two drivers differently. He is actually pleasantly surprised by the relationship between Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. « I had dinner with them separately, and then all together, and we have been lucky to spend a lot of time together in the past few weeks. I have to say that compared to the Carlos I remembered, I found a more mature person, and the same goes for Charles after these years at Ferrari. I think their collaboration is much stronger than it may seem from the outside,” he adds.
