Ford is finally considering entering F1
Initially hesitant, Ford is finally motivated by the enthusiasm surrounding the competition in the United States and could be tempted to make a comeback in Formula 1.

Ford remains one of the most successful engine manufacturers in the history of Formula 1. If the blue oval brand had decided to venture into other disciplines of motorsport, it wouldn’t be unlikely to see it make a comeback, and that too alongside Red Bull.
The leaders of the sports section have spoken about this and say they are impressed by the growing enthusiasm around F1 in the United States. This excitement is partly due to the Las Vegas and Miami Grand Prix races, as well as the famous Netflix series, “Drive to Survive”.
The Formula 1 is experiencing strong growth, both in the United States and worldwide. What they have done well is to create great races and intense competition. It is always the pinnacle, but they have been able to reach a new audience thanks to initiatives like Drive to Survive, they declared.
Ford could take advantage of the engine regulation change in 2026 to make a comeback and is already in talks with Red Bull for a partnership. The team, which won both the driver and constructor championships last season, could be dropped by Honda, who has signed up as an engine supplier for 2026. It is worth noting that Ford and Red Bull are already associated in the World Rally Championship. The last time Ford was officially involved in F1 was when they provided engines to Jaguar in the early 2000s.
