Pirelli tests currently taking place at the Paul-Ricard circuit
New Pirelli testing days are taking place from today at the Paul-Ricard circuit. The Mercedes drivers will be on track today and tomorrow. Yuki Tsunoda and Nyck de Vries will be on track later this week.

Lewis Hamilton and George Russell begin a two-day testing session at the Paul-Ricard circuit on Wednesday, giving them the opportunity to get behind the wheel for the first time this year. They will be using the 2022 season car, the W13. The agenda for these two days is dedicated to dry tires.
Tsunoda and De Vries are testing rain tyres.
AlphaTauri sends its two drivers out on the track to test the rain tires. The Japanese driver will driver on Friday and his teammate on Saturday. They will both use the AT03, last season’s car. The two drivers had already driven a few days ago in one of the 2021 season cars.
These tests will allow AlphaTauri to send additional data to Pirelli regarding wet tires so that the manufacturer can improve them. Indeed, the performance of these tires in extreme conditions has been heavily criticized last season, especially after the Suzuka Grand Prix.
The Pirelli tests will continue next week. Mercedes and Aston Martin will join each other in Jerez for new testing sessions.
