Alfa Romeo unveils their 2023 livery adorned in red and black
And that makes four: Alfa Romeo is following the dance started by Haas, Red Bull, and Williams, and has presented its C43 race car during a live event in Zurich. Goodbye to the white, making way for red and black.

After Haas, Red Bull, and Williams, Alfa Romeo is the fourth team to unveil its livery for the 2023 season, live from Zurich. While the drivers remain the same with Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou, dressed in their black suits, the car named C43 is now adorned in red and black, bidding farewell to the white of 2022 in anticipation of Audi’s future arrival. The team also introduces its new title sponsor, Stake, displayed on the sidepods and wings of the car.
Many technical aspects have also changed, and some are visible in the car’s design. One can notice that the side pods resemble what Red Bull did last year when the RB18 was in development. On the other hand, the front of the car remains rather similar to the C42.
The new CEO of the renamed Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake, Andreas Seidl, was naturally present for the event, as was the future Team Principal Alessandro Alunni Bravi, who is taking over from Fred Vasseur this year. The new team boss also indicated that they do not want to set a specific goal for this season, but rather continue to progress in all areas.
The C43 will also be out this weekend for a shakedown on the Barcelona circuit. With this new development, the team hopes that there won’t be any bottlenecks anymore, as it would be a nightmare if it happens again this year like last year, she admits, while they only have three days of winter testing, from February 23rd to 25th in Bahrain.
