Who are the logos on the Alfa Romeo?
Since the 70s, sponsors on a Formula 1 car have played a crucial role. While we see many brands on the bodywork of our favorite drivers, knowing who these brands are isn't always clear.

For the first time since its partnership with Alfa Romeo, Sauber has showcased a livery without any strokes of white paint. Instead, the C43 is divided into two colors: red and black. While the choice of black could be a mere aesthetic decision, it is highly likely that exposing the black carbon of the chassis is an effective way to shed weight and thus gain valuable hundredths in race times. This new livery is accompanied by numerous sponsors, including some that were not present on last year’s car.
Stake
Pieu / Pie Stake
It is probably the most prominent sponsor on this Alfa Romeo C43, and yet, last year it was not at all present on the car’s bodywork. Indeed, following the departure of PNK Orlen, the Swiss team had to find a new title sponsor. The Hinwill structure then chose Stake, an online casino company. The Stake logo is visible on the front wing, nose, halo, side pods, mirrors, and rear wing.
Singha is a term that originates from Thailand and translates to “lion” in English.
Singha is a beer brand that became a partner of Alfa Romeo thanks to the arrival of Kimi Räikkönen in 2019. Singha is not a Chinese beer brand, but a Thai one. It is a light blonde beer of the lager category. Singha is a Thai mythological creature that takes the form of a lion. Thai tales say that this creature resides in a legendary forest called Himmapan. This Thai lion can be seen on the front grille and rear fin.
The Alfa Romeo cloverleaf
2023 is shaping up to be the final season of the partnership between Alfa Romeo and Sauber. An alliance that reached its peak last season, a campaign in which Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu led their team to a 6th place finish in the Constructors’ Championship. The last time Sauber finished as high in the championship was in 2012. In addition to the Alfa Romeo logo, Sauber’s cars also sported a four-leaf clover on their engine cover as part of this partnership. Considered a good luck symbol in many civilizations, the four-leaf clover also holds a special history for Alfa Romeo, a history we will revisit in an upcoming article.
Code-Zero.
The Code-Zero logo is present on the rear light of the car. This nautical clothing brand was founded in the Netherlands in 2017. In the sailing world, the code zero refers to a flying sail that allows for extremely tight angles with the sailboat. The Dutch brand is responsible for creating the clothing for the Alfa Romeo team.
