Mercedes signs a new sponsor before launching its season
The Lewis Hamilton and George Russell's team will feature a new sponsor this season. It will be prominently displayed on the race suits of the two British drivers.
The presentation of the new Mercedes F1 car for the 2023 season will only take place in two days, but already, the German team has posted a photo of its drivers in their new suits. Although they strongly resemble those from last season, these suits now feature the company Nuvei as the new sponsor of the eight-time world champion team.
This Canadian company based in Montreal specializes in electronic payment processing. According to Toto Wolff, the boss of Mercedes F1, Nuvei shares the same approach as his team to achieve success.
“We are thrilled to welcome Nuvei as a new long-term partner at the dawn of the 2023 Formula 1 season. Nuvei has a reputation as a leader in its field with a global footprint. Their commitment to excellence in performance through innovation aligns with our values. We are excited to embark on a period of success together,” stated the Austrian executive.
The Nuvei logo will be visible on the drivers’ helmets and sleeves of their uniforms. Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, and Toto Wolff will also participate in some marketing activities with this new sponsor.
