The winter testing for the 2023 F1 season begins this week!
The ten teams participating in the 2023 Formula 1 World Championship will meet this week in Bahrain for the winter testing, just a few days before the start of the new season.

We’re almost there! While the F1 season will start on the weekend of March 3-5th at the Sakhir circuit for the Bahrain Grand Prix, the F1 teams are meeting this week, from Thursday, February 23rd to Saturday, February 25th, on the same track for the traditional pre-season winter testing.
Even though several teams have already run their new single-seaters during a shakedown or a promotional shoot, this will be about testing the maximum number of possible settings in an environment close to what drivers will encounter during the first races. Teams will notably be able to see how their new creations react to hot and dry weather.
This year, only three testing days are scheduled instead of six in 2022. This limited amount of track time is a real challenge for teams and drivers. With only one car available for testing, each pair of drivers will have to share the wheel and maximize their time on track. As a new car often comes with many issues to solve, every second will be crucial to gather as much data as possible.
In Bahrain, the track will be open for three days of testing, from 8 am to 12 pm, and then from 1 pm to 5:30 pm (French time). Canal+ Sport will broadcast three hours of live coverage per day with Antoine Arlot, Adrien Tambay, and Loïc Duval providing commentary, while Julien Fébreau will be the man on the ground in the pits and paddock.
The session summaries and rankings will be available every day of testing on “Motros Inside,” in addition to the numerous photos that our on-site photographers will send.
