Perez is too pampered at Red Bull for Ricciardo to overshadow him
Despite the presence of Daniel Ricciardo in the Red Bull garage, Sergio Perez doesn't have to worry about his seat, according to Eddie Jordan.

Interviewed by OLBG, the founder of Jordan Grand Prix, a Formula 1 team from 1991 to 2005, and later a Formula 1 journalist on BBC Sport from 2009 to 2016, gives his opinion on the Verstappen-Perez duo.
If cracks appeared during last season’s Mexican Grand Prix when Verstappen refused to let “Checo” pass, depriving him of second place in the driver’s championship, Eddie Jordan sees no chance of the Mexican being replaced by Daniel Ricciardo.
I don’t see Daniel Ricciardo replacing Sergio Perez at Red Bull next season.
Checo is a darling in this team. Remember what Checo does, he is a brilliant support for Max, he is strong, he can win when he needs to win, or when he has the chance and opportunity to win. There has been a bit of turmoil between the two of them, and the opportunity to be second in the championship was another matter.
The greatest thing that Red Bull has is continuity. They won’t want to change that. Ricciardo has already been through it, he knows he doesn’t need special treatment, he knows how the team works, the same people are there, Christian Horner and Adrian Newey. These are the key people of this team, Daniel knows them well, but it would have to be because a driver can’t participate for him to drive, but to send Checo away, I don’t see it at all.
Ricciardo declined an agreement with Haas for this season after deciding that he preferred to take a year off to recharge. The early retirement of Fernando Alonso or Lewis Hamilton, or the arrival of Audi partnering with Alfa Romeo in 2026, could be great opportunities for the Australian driver.
