AlphaTauri is not for sale, Tost confirms
Rumors had emerged in recent days regarding a potential sale of AlphaTauri. Franz Tost denied them this morning in a statement.
Auto Motor und Sport, stated on Saturday, February 25th, that AlphaTauri was costing Red Bull too much compared to what it was bringing in. The German media even announced that the reigning world champion team was considering moving its little sister to England or parting ways with it, and even stated that three potential buyers were in the running.
There will be nothing of it because AlphaTauri made it clear this morning by announcing that the team is not for sale.
“I’ve had very good meetings with Oliver Mintzlaff, who confirmed that the shareholders will not sell Scuderia AlphaTauri, and that Red Bull will continue to support the team in the future. All these rumors have no basis, and the team must remain focused for the start of the season in order to perform better than last year,” declares Franz Tost.
