Vasseur warns: the race will be a completely different story from the trials
Attention to those, the director of Scuderia, Frédéric Vasseur, reminds that the different conditions during preseason testing and those during the Bahrain Grand Prix this weekend will change the game.

The 2023 World Championship is about to begin, Frédéric Vasseur, the new boss of the most decorated F1 team, wanted to remind everyone that the Bahrain Grand Prix will be quite different from the pre-season tests.
And while some already see Red Bull in front without a challenger, it is important to note that the tests were covered throughout the day, from early morning until late at night, and Charles Leclerc set the best time for the SF23 when it was 55 degrees Celsius.
This will not be the case this weekend, as the two decisive sessions will take place locally at 6:00 pm, at night, with much cooler temperatures.
Vasseur thinks that this could be an essential difference and insisted on highlighting that the tests were nothing more than that.
“What needs to be kept in mind is that the race will be a completely different story from what we did this weekend,” he explained during the practice sessions.
When Charles did the time trial this morning [third day of testing], the track temperature was 55 degrees.
We have the race at six or seven o’clock, and the qualifications mean that it’s a completely different story.
We must take this test as a test and not as the first FP1 of the race in Bahrain.
I think that for that, we did a good job sweeping away very important elements about the car, we focused on long relays and brought good improvements to the car.
