The first trailer for F1 23 has been released
Since 2009, Codemasters has been accompanying each F1 season with a game. Today is the day the trailer for the latest creation from the Birmingham studio has been released.

The first reveal of F1 23 unfortunately happened without any gameplay footage of the game. The early game publications already hinted at it, Electronic Arts seems to have gone all out with its story mode. In fact, this trailer, which is just under 2 minutes long, is solely dedicated to the story mode.
Braking Point 2
Direct sequel to the story mode of F1 2021, Braking Point makes its grand return in F1 23. In this game mode, the focus is not on driving but on experiencing a season through fictional characters. While Aiden Jackson and Devon Butler are back and now teammates, this new installment introduces a new character named Callie Mayer. This F2 driver is the first woman to have won the championship and now aspires to compete in the pinnacle of motorsport.
The circuits
From the first moments of the trailer, the city of all vices, Las Vegas, is shown on screen. The new American circuit will therefore be playable in the game. It has also been confirmed that the Losail circuit in Qatar will also be included. Although Paul Ricard, the Shanghai track, and Portimao are not real circuits, Codemasters still decided to integrate them into the game. These circuits, already modeled by the development studio, will provide additional content for the players.
An improvement in physics
On the game’s website, EA promises a more predictable and forgiving physics. In other words, a driving experience closer to what real Formula 1 drivers can encounter. In F1 22, it is often almost impossible to know when the car will spin out, which can sometimes result in a frustrating gameplay experience. Controller players have also not been forgotten as a new technology has been announced: Precision Drive. However, it remains to be determined if this new technology will only be accessible to controllers of the new generation consoles or if older ones can also benefit from it.
New features
Among the new features, we can also note the appearance of red flags. This was a novelty that had to happen considering the numerous session interruptions in the last Formula 1 seasons. A race distance of 35% has also been added. Online competitive players will thus be able to train under the same conditions as Esport players. And finally, for more realism, the player’s HUD will display real race data to offer a better immersion. On the EA website, it is also possible to read about the arrival of F1 World. This new mode seems to be an improvement of F1 Life, which was available in F1 22.
F1 22 will be released on June 16th for the standard version and on the 13th for the Champions Editions on Playstation, Xbox, and PC. The game will be available for pre-order on May 31st.
