The content creator Squeezie officially announces the GP Explorer 2, following the success of the first edition
Lucas Hauchard, aka Squeezie, officially confirmed on Wednesday evening the holding of the second edition of the GP Explorer, a Formula 4 race between internet personalities. Let's take a look at the details of this announcement.
“It had been in the air for some time, and now it’s official, the GP Explorer is coming back for a second edition. It was Squeezie himself who announced it on his Twitch channel. As a reminder, this project consists of bringing together about twenty internet personalities and having them compete on a circuit behind the wheel of a Formula 4 car.”
This edition will take place on September 9th at the Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans. 24 drivers will hit the track that day, representing a total of 12 racing teams. Among them, half will be returning while 12 drivers will be experiencing the GP Explorer for the first time.
The veterans: Squeezie, Gotaga, Seb la Frite, Djilsi, Amixem, Kaatsup, LeBouseuh, Etienne Moustache, Depielo, Manon Lanza, Sylvain and Pierre from VilebrequinAuto.
The newcomers: Maghla, Theodort, AnaOnAir, Maxime Biaggi, Billy, Baghera, Horty, Mister V, Théo Juice.
To complete the newcomers, 3 drivers will be unveiled very soon, one will team up with Billy while the other two will belong to the same team.
The weekend format remains unchanged, a qualifying session will take place in the early afternoon, and then at 7pm, the 24 drivers will take off on the Le Mans track to engage in a battle for about fifteen laps.
If ever you want to head to Le Mans and get tickets for this experience, the ticket office opens on May 24th and Squeezie has announced that 60,000 tickets will be available for sale.
On the occasion of the ticket sales opening, another live stream will be organized on Squeezie’s Twitch channel. He will announce the partners of the different teams, the activities within Le Mans, the guest commentators, etc…
Squeezie clarified that the GP Explorer 2 was intentionally organized on a weekend without Formula 1, adding that surprise guests could join the event on the D-day.
