The Miami International Autodrome is hosting the fifth round of the 2023 F1 World Championship this weekend. Logan Sargeant, Williams driver, assures that it is a “difficult” challenge, even though the promise of racing on his own home turf is exciting. “I am excited for this weekend. It’s nice to be back in my familiar climate, which is extremely hot. But it’s going to be a tough weekend without knowing the track. It’s a big hurdle to overcome, but yes, I’m excited,” he affirmed.

This race on the new asphalt will be even more symbolic for him since it is his first race in the United States. “It’s nice to participate in my very first car race in America, it will be pretty cool,” he assures. This place also reminds him of his childhood and his first steps behind the wheel. “I started racing 10 minutes away at the Homestead-Miami Speedway circuit in karting. Back then, I was driving with my father and brother. Obviously, we loved the sport and we loved the adrenaline. And now, I’m at my first F1 race at home.”

A perfect weekend would be to see him score his first points in Formula 1.
