Haas showed up at home
With a 4th place in qualifying, Haas can approach the Miami Grand Prix with a smile! Kevin Magnussen made the most of the events in Q3.

It’s tough to get back into the groove, especially when the German driver was much more comfortable and faster than his Danish teammate, who secured a pole position last year with Haas, in Brazil.
And then, the trend completely reversed in qualifying: Nico Hülkenberg missed the mark and sadly failed to secure 12th place. Kevin Magnussen, on the other hand, seized his chance to make it to Q3.
A big hit or an anonymous race?
It was said that this Q3 in Miami would have a rather shuffled ranking: Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc had aborted their first attempts and had no time recorded.
And when Charles Leclerc crashed his Ferrari at Turn 7, the 4th time established by Kevin Magnussen was secured! This is the best performance from the American team on Uncle Sam’s soil: the previous benchmark was Romain Grosjean’s 8th place at Circuit of the Americas in 2018.
Jan Magnussen’s son was happy, rightfully so, without getting too carried away. It’s known that no points are scored in qualifying. But it’s still a great feeling of satisfaction to have a good position on the starting grid. We should reach the Top 10 in the race, and the car is performing well.
