Max Verstappen: “A great victory”
Winner for the second time in a row in Miami, the Dutch driver takes advantage to widen the gap with his teammate in the championship.
Satisfied with his race, Max Verstappen congratulates himself on his beautiful third victory of the season: “It was a great race for me. I stayed away from trouble and had a clean race.”
One of the keys to the Dutchman’s victory lies in his excellent long stint on hard tires: « We were able to go far with the hard tires during the first stint. The battle with Checo was very clean. It’s a very beautiful victory today. I remained calm and did things properly. We were confident in the strategy. »
Thanks to this 38th career victory, Verstappen now has a 14-point lead in the championship over Sergio Pérez.
