This image will give chills to all the Tifosi. Carlos Sainz injured his thigh on Tuesday evening during a charity football match. He received treatment on the sidelines, with a strap being placed around his right thigh. Substituted after an hour of play, the Spaniard had a worried look when receiving the medical attention.

The match was organized by the Children Sports Association which raises funds for children in need. The 2023 match is the 24th edition of this special charity event. Several other drivers participated in the event, such as Charles Leclerc, Sainz’s teammate, and Pierre Gasly.

We do not yet know the severity of Carlos Sainz’s injury, and we do not know if he will be able to participate in the Monaco Grand Prix in three days when the free practice sessions begin. Ferrari could choose to align the Italian Antonio Giovinazzi, the team’s reserve driver, who has a great deal of Formula 1 experience.

Carlos Sainz is currently fifth in the Drivers’ World Championship and is ahead of his teammate Leclerc in the standings. This situation might change if he doesn’t participate in the Monaco Grand Prix.
