Charles Leclerc: “It wasn’t my best lap in Monaco”
Third on the grid after a highly contested qualifying session, Charles Leclerc is counting on a few drops of rain to hope for a victory in the race.

Third on the grid with only 106 milliseconds separating him from pole position, Charles Leclerc had reason to be disappointed after qualifying in Monaco: « I am disappointed to be third. I wasn’t able to put everything together in the same lap, but I don’t think we could have done better anyway. It wasn’t my best lap in Monaco, I think last year’s was better. »
Looking ahead to tomorrow’s race, the Monégasque driver wouldn’t mind a few drops of rain in his quest for a first victory in Monaco: « It’s not a circuit where we can easily overtake, and our pace is a bit slower than our competitors. I won’t do a rain dance, even though I would still like it to happen. »
Even though he failed in his quest for a third consecutive pole in Monaco, Leclerc can count on the whole Monégasque people to shine during tomorrow’s race.
