George Russell moved to Monaco
A few months after settling in the Principality, the Mercedes driver does not regret his choice. This new living environment fully satisfies him.

The move to the French Riviera seems to have been beneficial to George Russell’s state of mind. The young Mercedes driver has opened up about his move to Monaco, stating that he now feels happier than he has ever been.
The Principality has long been a sought-after place of residence for Formula 1 drivers, who are attracted by its pleasant climate and central geographical location, as well as its privileged status in terms of taxation.
Apart from Charles Leclerc, who holds Monegasque nationality, other current Formula 1 drivers have chosen to reside on the Rock, including Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris, and Sergio Pérez. Meanwhile, former drivers such as Mika Häkkinen, David Coulthard, and Nico Rosberg also have a base in Monaco.
« I’ve been here for five or six months now. I really appreciate this place,” Russell revealed. « The French Riviera has exceeded my expectations: I was a country child, grew up in a field, saw the gray sky, and had nothing but my Labrador. Here, there is an amazing community, good friends, we jump into the sea every day, train, and there is sunshine. As I said, it has exceeded my expectations. I am very happy to be here. »
A flourishing that seems to materialize in racing as the young Brit just achieved his first podium of the season in Barcelona.
