Sergio Pérez, disappointed with himself and his car this weekend
Eliminated once again in Q2 on Saturday, Perez was condemned to a comeback in the race. He finished 6th, far behind his competitors, and pointed out the poor pace of his car as well as his difficulties.

Red Bull must improve its “poor” race pace
Despite his teammate Max Verstappen’s fairly comfortable victory, Sergio Perez criticized Red Bull after the race, notably pointing out the lack of pace in the car. Yesterday, the Mexican driver even seemed surprised in the interview zone right after the race: “Today’s day was a bit surprising.”
“We simply didn’t have the pace. The hard tire seemed good at the beginning, but once the safety car came out, I couldn’t find grip on that tire and we didn’t have the pace on the medium »,” he said.
The Mexican is also implicated
Sergio Perez also mentions his bad weekend at the wheel of the Red Bull, which is nevertheless the fastest car on the grid. After several below-par Grand Prix, the disappointment continues for the Mexican. “I have confidence in myself and I know what I can do, but today we were not good. For now, I am more concerned about my drop in performance than my position in the championship, because the pace is simply not there,” said Perez.
However, the Mexican is honest and sets his goals for the rest of the season. There is never any pressure on you, it has been a difficult period, but I am here to perform and I must do so in the upcoming races.
Sergio Perez must quickly bounce back, and that starting from Austria, in 2 weeks.
