Lawrence Stroll: “I should be knighted for what I have done.”
In 2023, Aston Martin's performances are remarkable, considering those of the past two years. Lawrence Stroll, owner of Aston Martin F1 Team, is delighted with such success and goes even further.

« I should be knighted for what I have done. » This is what Lawrence Stroll declared. There are reasons behind this statement. First, the Canadian billionaire claims to have saved « a great number of jobs within Aston Martin. Then, the progress in F1 only reinforces this point.
(I) “I have saved thousands of jobs and built a new Formula 1 factory with hundreds of millions of euros in investment,” he stated. When it comes to investment and Aston Martin’s success, you can’t argue with that.
It all started in 2018 with the bankruptcy of the Force India team. At the helm of an investor consortium, Lawrence Stroll purchased the assets of the team. Then in 2019, it became Racing Point, with Lance Stroll, his son, and Sergio Perez on board.
He then becomes the Executive Chairman of automaker Aston Martin, and that’s where the adventure of the English brand begins in F1. After two years of construction, 2023 is the year of revelation. Aston Martin is fighting for 2nd place in the World Championship with Mercedes, and the investments could potentially have even more positive effects. The Silverstone team is clearly aiming for victory.
“It’s a huge proof of my faith in the company… You don’t invest that much money in a company if you don’t believe in its future,” Lawrence Stroll declared. He also doesn’t fail to mention that in his other business ventures, he has always been successful.
Some will see arrogance, others determination. Regardless, Aston Martin can dream big in F1 with Lawrence Stroll at the helm; he certainly has no shortage of ambition. Whether it’s for Aston Martin F1 or the car brand itself, Stroll has stated that there are no limits that seem too high for an Aston Martin.
