The British Grand Prix threatened by storms during qualifying
The rain is expected to be present for this Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone. While the weather is still uncertain several days in advance, there is a high chance of rain during Saturday's qualifying session. This means that several Grand Prix races in a row have been disrupted by the weather conditions throughout the weekend.

This weekend, Formula 1 is heading to Silverstone for the 11th round of the F1 World Championship. It is expected to be a rainy weekend in England.
Only Friday should escape the rain for the two free practice sessions. The first session at 13:10 should take place under bright sunshine with a temperature of 24°C. For the second free practice session, the sun will still be present at Silverstone during this session, and it should be around 26°C for the second hour of driving.
Saturday is expected to be a challenging day.
Saturday’s day will offer more difficulties for the drivers. Storms are expected during the third and final free practice session. During this session, there will be about a 75% chance of rain appearing. Despite the rain, the temperature will be rather mild, with around 24°C expected around the track.
For the qualifying session, rain may not be the surprise guest. After a heavy period of storm, the rain is expected to decrease significantly. There would be less than a 40% chance of rain for the qualifying session, although the track should still remain wet.
The rain could make the race more suspenseful
For Sunday’s race day, rain could also come with the rain. The weather forecast predicts a 40 to 45% chance of rain falling on the Grand Prix track in Great Britain. The temperature will remain mild around the track, as 21°C (70°F) are expected during the Grand Prix, which could disadvantage certain cars that prefer hotter conditions.
