Nyck de Vries reacts to his ouster
Following his dismissal from AlphaTauri last week, the Dutch driver finally speaks out on social media.
Nyck de Vries fell victim to Red Bull and Helmut Marko’s rule. The Dutchman only got the opportunity to compete in ten races with AlphaTauri before being let go. A harsh decision that reflects Red Bull’s uncompromising nature. After a week of silence, and amidst circulating rumors, de Vries spoke out on Instagram.
Her career is not over
« I would like to thank Red Bull and Scuderia AlphaTauri for giving me the opportunity to live my dream. Of course, it hurts that the chance to race in F1, which I had been dreaming of for so long, has come to an early end. But life is not a destination, it’s a journey, and sometimes we have to take difficult paths to achieve our goals, » he said.
« I am grateful for our privileged life, proud of our journey and my family. This is just another experience, we are moving forward and looking forward to the next chapter, » explained the Dutch person. « Speaking of the next chapter, it could once again be written in Formula E, a discipline that he knows perfectly well as he was the world champion in 2021. »
Nyck de Vries denies the rumors about him
A few days ago, articles were published with false statements attributed to Nyck de Vries. These statements claimed, among other things, that Red Bull had promised him a seat in 2025, or that he was not surprised by Red Bull’s way of operating, as they had allegedly stolen Lewis Hamilton’s title in 2021. These statements are completely false and absurd, as the driver has not given any interviews before his message on Instagram.
« PS : I received some interesting articles about things I said last week. To clarify, I haven’t spoken to any media, and I will be enjoying my free time. I wish you all a lovely summer, » he clarified.
Nyck de Vries will continue to take time off social media while waiting to possibly secure a seat in a motorsport discipline.
« After the recent events, I have decided to take some time for myself, away from social media, which I will continue to do. I thank everyone for the kind and encouraging messages you sent me last week. It warms my heart to feel your support, » concluded the Dutch person.
