Struggling in several races, Sergio Pérez found his way back to the podium with a third place finish at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
By climbing onto the third step of the podium in Budapest, Sergio Pérez put an end to a streak of five Grand Prix races finished outside of the top positions.
« I am happy with my race. We were close to second place. I had to go off line because of the lapped cars towards the end of the race. I tried everything to try and gain a new position. It was a very good team strategy and a great result. »
This beautiful result will boost the confidence of the Mexican driver.
This type of performance, this type of day will help me for the future. I am focusing to be on the podium in every race from now on. That is now my goal.
Thanks to his 15 points scored in Hungary, Pérez is extending his lead over his rivals in the championship.
