Fernando Alonso receives a warning from the race commissioners
The Aston Martin's Spanish driver received a warning for abruptly changing direction, forcing Nico Hülkenberg to narrowly avoid him.

It’s definitely a bad birthday for Fernando Alonso. Already a victim of Lance Stroll’s mistake in Q2, which prevented him from setting a time, forcing him to start 15th in the Sprint, things only got worse throughout the afternoon.
In the third round of the Sprint, the Spaniard made a mistake in the gravel at turn 11, spinning several times on the wet track, and got stuck there, definitively ending his race. Undoubtedly a disappointment for the Aston Martin driver, but it didn’t stop there. The stewards have indeed decided to investigate him for a dangerous move on Nicol Hülkenberg.
“The FIA stated in a press release that ‘Car 14 changed direction, forcing Car 27 to take evasive action to avoid a collision between Turn 1 and Turn 2 at 5:53 pm. Fernando Alonso was exiting the pits and moved to the left, causing Car 27 to take evasive action. Alonso explained that he had no visibility to the rear at that moment and that he had been driving completely to the left of the track at that spot on each lap to maximize his forward visibility. Although the stewards accept these facts, the change from right to left in this case, although slower than the cars that stayed on track, created a potential collision situation. Taking into account the mitigating circumstances, the stewards issue a warning,’ they concluded after listening to both drivers and their respective representatives.”
The Spanish person ultimately manages to do relatively well, but it’s definitely a black Saturday to forget for him.
