The rumor linking Haas F1 and Alfa Romeo in 2024 is gaining momentum
The American stable and the Italian brand are expected to announce their partnership soon, starting from next season.

Several months ago, rumors in the paddock suggested a closer relationship between the Alfa Romeo brand and the Haas F1 team. It now appears that it’s only a matter of time before an association between the Italian marque and the American team is formalized.
In August 2022, alongside the Belgian Grand Prix, Audi announced its arrival in Formula 1 starting from the 2026 season, in partnership with the Sauber team. [In the wake of this, Alfa Romeo announced the end of their partnership with the Swiss team by the end of the 2023 season.] Therefore, Sauber is expected to compete under its own name for two years before the Audi brand takes over and puts its identity on the cars from Hinwill.
To keep a foot in F1
Since, the head of the premium Italian brand of the Stellantis group, Jean-Philippe Imparato, had stated that he was considering various options to keep the brand associated with the Biscione in motorsport. The chosen option would therefore be to remain in F1 with a team already powered by Ferrari. In addition to the prancing horse stable, Haas F1 is also propelled by an Italian engine. This new partnership could thus take the form of rebranding the Ferrari engine as an Alfa Romeo engine.
One way for the Quadrifoglio to keep a foothold in F1 as the premier competition in motorsport gains popularity worldwide, while the brand born in Milan over a century ago seeks to maintain its sporting DNA in its strategy.
An ad in Monza?
An announcement during the Italian Grand Prix weekend in Monza, from September 1st to 3rd, could therefore be made by both entities. Haas F1 team principal, Günther Steiner, holds an Italian passport, while the event would take place just a few kilometers from Alfa Romeo’s headquarters. All the ingredients would be gathered to celebrate this upcoming collaboration.
