Official: Haas confirms Hülkenberg and Magnussen for 2024
The American team MoneyGram Haas F1 Team has just confirmed that Nico Hülkenberg and Kevin Magnussen will remain the two main drivers for the next season.
The news broke this morning. In a statement, the Haas team confirms its current line-up for next season. Nico Hülkenberg and Kevin Magnussen will therefore remain the drivers for the American team in 2024.
In the document, the team boss, Günther Steiner, is satisfied with the performances of his two drivers this season despite an unsatisfactory car. « The team has had to face difficulties with their VF-23, but both drivers managed to get their car into the points. »
On their side, Hulk and K-Mag are also delighted to continue the Haas adventure. « I am obviously very happy to see my relationship with MoneyGram Haas F1 Team extend once again », says Magnussen, who will therefore be racing his 7th season for the team next year.
His German teammate is satisfied after 3 years as a reserve driver for various teams and he said he is happy to settle things early for next season in order to stay focused on the race. I like being part of the team and I share Gene Haas [the owner] and Günther’s passion. We are in a very competitive midfield and I look forward to building on what we have achieved together so far and moving forward in 2024.
For the moment, Haas is 8th in the constructors’ standings with 11 points.
