Valtteri Bottas performs in a bike race
The Finnish driver pulled off quite a performance in a cycling race where several former professionals and specialists were competing, less than a week before the restart in Zandvoort. Impressive preparation.

If Formula 1 drivers are undoubtedly all highly skilled athletes, there is one who stands out particularly for his performances outside of his cockpit. The Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas distinguished himself last Sunday in cycling on the SBT GRVL, a gravel race held around the city of Steamboat Springs, in the American state of Colorado.
Less than a week before getting back behind the wheel in the Netherlands, the Alfa Romeo driver finished in 20th place, out of 1000 participants, in this 160 km race with 1770 meters of elevation, on arid trails in temperatures exceeding 30 degrees.
But the ten-time Grand Prix winner is far from being a beginner, he is even an experienced cyclist. Last May, already, after the cancellation of the Imola GP, he went to Scotland to compete in a gravel race where he finished 118th out of nearly 800 competitors, and against professionals, please note.
It must be said that Valtteri is well supported by his partner Tiffany Cromwell, an Australian professional cyclist, with whom he has developed his love for cycling in recent years.
