The Dutchman received his trophy as good as new and took the opportunity to gently mock the "criminal" Lando Norris, who had bumped into him on the podium in Hungary.

Is Max Verstappen so strong in 2023 that he receives trophies even when there is no Grand Prix? No, the Dutchman simply received what was rightfully his. The leader of the world championship gave us the funny moment of the summer by retrieving a broken trophy from the podium of the Hungarian GP. In Italy this week, he was presented with his repaired trophy as the winner of the Hungarian GP, which had been broken by Lando Norris during the celebrations, all in the presence of the British driver.

On July 23rd, last year, the McLaren driver, who finished second at the Hungaroring, accidentally knocked over and broke the famous trophy just presented to Max Verstappen, while trying to open his champagne bottle. This scene caused laughter among fans on social media, but it certainly bothered some people as well, considering that the object costs no less than 40,000 euros.

A trophy in good condition was therefore given back to its owner, who found the situation amusing on Twitter by posting photos with the culprit, Lando Norris. All’s well that ends well, the Red Bull driver will be able to place his trophy alongside the ones from 2022 and 2021.
