The start of the Italian Grand Prix delayed
Yuki Tsunoda's abandonment during the formation lap and a technical problem delay the start of the race at Monza.
False start for the Italian Grand Prix. While the drivers were making their way for the formation lap, Yuki Tsunoda had to stop his AlphaTauri on the edge of the track due to a technical issue.
The Japanese driver will not be able to start and the evacuation of his AT04 took a few minutes, forcing the race direction to ask the drivers to do a second warm-up lap.
At the end of it, the start could not be given due to a technical issue with the lights supposed to give the start to the drivers. The teams were able to return to their drivers to put the heated blankets back on the tires for a few moments.
The new training session starts at 15:20, which is 20 minutes later than the scheduled time.
