Christian Horner pays tribute to his team after winning the constructors’ championship
Max Verstappen dominated the Japanese Grand Prix, claiming a victory that allowed Red Bull to secure its sixth constructors' championship. Christian Horner, team principal, paid tribute to his men.

Max Verstappen led from start to finish and crossed the line with a nearly 20-second lead over Lando Norris, who finished second, allowing Red Bull to secure their sixth Constructors’ Championship. This comes in what has been a monumental year for the Milton Keynes team, as they have won every race so far, with the exception of the Singapore Grand Prix.
Christian Horner emphasized the work of all the people working within the team as well as its partners. « This has been the most extraordinary race for us, the most extraordinary year, and it is a testament to all the men and women at the factory. For all our partners, it is the result of an incredible effort from everyone who has done their part to achieve results like the ones we have achieved. »
He also praised the support received from the public and the Constructors’ title won on Honda’s home turf, Red Bull’s technical partner. « Honda has been a great partner for us, and it is very fitting to win this championship here with Honda, in front of all the fans. The support we have received throughout the weekend has been phenomenal. »
A forgettable Grand Prix for Sergio Perez
While Max Verstappen had a solid Grand Prix, his teammate Sergio Perez had a very bad Sunday. The Mexican made contact with Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) at the start before receiving a penalty for a safety car violation after exiting the pit lane. He then made contact with Kevin Magnussen (Haas), resulting in further damage to the front wing and another 5-second penalty.
« He has tackled several front wings today, “Horner said. « From the start, he was a little shaken, then he received a penalty and then he collided with Kevin Magnussen.
He ended with words of encouragement towards the Mexican pilot. « It wasn’t his day, but he will bounce back in the next race and, you know, he is also a big part of the success. »
