F1 has just announced through a press release that it has officially renewed its partnership with RTBF, the historic French-speaking broadcaster in Belgium. This multi-year extension runs until 2027.

Francophone fans in Belgium will have complete coverage of Formula 1 sessions, including testing and qualifying sessions, F1 Sprint races and Grand Prix throughout the season.

RTBF will continue to broadcast Formula 1 on its Tipik and Auvio channels, thus making it easily accessible to viewers either via the internet or free on traditional TV channels. In addition, some races will be available on La Une.

Michaella Snoeck, head of media rights for the FOM states: « As Formula 1 continues to grow and attract new audiences, we are delighted to extend this special relationship with our long-term broadcast partner. We look forward to working with RTBF to further improve our broadcast offer and build a world-class viewing experience for fans in Belgium so they can enjoy the suspense and excitement of Formula 1. »

Benoît Delhauteur, Head of Sports at RTBF, continued: « The success of our audience is also due to the quality of our commentary and coverage, across all our platforms. In addition to the qualifications and the Grand Prix live, our “Warm-Up” program is very popular, as well as our digital sequences and our podcast, “Pilotes”. The extension of our contract with Formula 1 means continuing to tell a story that fascinates a very large number of people in French-speaking Belgium. »

Note that with Switzerland, (RTS), Belgium is one of the only nations where you can still watch Formula 1 for free.
