Each team has limits regarding the period during which its personnel can be inside the circuit to work on the car. However, some exceptions are allowed. Scuderia AlphaTauri and Haas F1 teams have recently used their first exception of the 2023 season.
The AlphaTauri team used its first individual exception of the 2023 season last Wednesday. The staff involved in the operation of the car were in the circuit premises for thirteen hours, (starting at 6:30pm on October 25th and ending at 7:30am on October 26th), even though it is strictly forbidden by the FIA.
« It was the first of the four individual exceptions allowed for the Scuderia AlphaTauri team during the 2023 Formula 1 season, and therefore, no action should be taken, » states the press release.
On Thursday, the Haas F1 team also used its first exception of the season. The staff was at the circuit for the fourteen hours during which it was prohibited (starting from 6:30 pm on October 26th and ending at 8:30 am on October 27th).
Same, the FIA will not penalize since it is the first of the three exceptions to the curfew.
