Lando Norris voted driver of the day in Mexico
Starting from the back of the grid, Lando Norris made several overtakes to finish 5th in the Mexican Grand Prix, and clinched the Driver of the Day title with 29% of the votes.

Lando Norris delivered a magnificent performance in Mexico. Starting 17th due to a mistake in qualifying, the British driver had a relatively quiet first part of the race until Kevin Magnussen’s accident at mid-race.
Despite a bad start during the restart and losing several positions, the McLaren driver caught up with exceptional pace. Making overtakes lap after lap, Norris managed to secure a well-deserved 5th place at the finish line.
His two recent overtakes on Daniel Ricciardo’s AlphaTauri and George Russell’s Mercedes are definitely worth showcasing in all driving schools.
Thanks to excellent management of his medium tires and bold maneuvers, Norris got the better of the Australian driver and his compatriot, each time between turns 4 and 6 of the Mexican circuit.
With his twelve gained positions and this new Top 5, Norris is now only 14 points away from Fernando Alonso’s 5th place in the championship.
