Felipe Massa is banned from F1 as long as his legal action is ongoing
Felipe Massa has filed a lawsuit regarding the 2008 World Championship. In this context, Massa is advised to avoid going to the paddock in Brazil and had been invited not to go to Monza.

Felipe Massa is expected to miss the Brazilian Grand Prix. The former Ferrari driver is involved in a legal dispute regarding Lewis Hamilton’s 2008 title. The Brazilian has sought the help of lawyers in an attempt to take legal action against what he believes to be a conspiracy.
Massa believes that the FIA and the Formula One Management group made the wrong decision in Singapore. Nelson Piquet Jr.’s accident had a strong influence on the final standings of the season. Hamilton left this Grand Prix with six points, while Felipe Massa didn’t earn any. Starting from pole position, his pit stop was very bad, causing him to restart the race in last place. A few weeks later, Lewis Hamilton ultimately won the championship at the Brazilian Grand Prix, the last race of the season.
Not welcome in the paddock
In this context of legal dispute, Massa avoids going to the F1 paddocks. The Brazilian declined the invitations to Monza and Suzuka, and this could be the case at his home, the Brazilian Grand Prix. The only thing I know is that F1 asked me not to go to the Monza race, said Felipe Massa to AutoSport. I was also supposed to go to the race in Japan as an ambassador, but in the end, I didn’t go. As for Brazil, nothing has been discussed, we haven’t had any contact since that moment before Monza until now.
If the Brazilian were not to be invited to the paddock, he should not participate in the GP by paying for his own spot either. « I believe I won’t do it », explained the former pilot. « I only used to go to the races as an ambassador. But I fully respect the legal situation that is happening right now, to the point that I may not go because of what’s going on. But there has been no invitation or conversation about my ambassador work, so I don’t think I should participate. »
Felipe Massa stated that this legal action was to annul the outcome of the 2008 World Championship.
When Motors Inside approached the former driver in Bahrain, he preferred not to give any interviews.
