An Aston Martin AMR-23 showcar up for auction
Aston Martin, to mark its new partnership with Momento Exclusives, is providing an AMR-23 showcar for auction, in addition to the two race suits worn by Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll this season. From November 9th to 28th, it will be possible to bid to acquire the race car. As a bonus, the vehicle will be delivered just before the 2024 British Grand Prix.
This auction makes its appearance following the recent collaboration between Aston Martin Racing and Momento Exclusives, owner of F1 Authentics, a website that organizes auctions for various items related to the world of Formula 1. From helmets to artworks, trophies, and even wheels, the website is organizing the auction of the single-seater car. It will take place from November 9th to November 28th, 2023, on the same website, along with a collection of unique Aston Martin items.
The bidder an AMR23 2023 replica, equipped with components used in racing, including wheels, but also race suits worn by Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll on weekends. They will be framed and authenticated. The winner will also have the option to add Alonso or Stroll’s initials to the car, or to add their own initials for a personal and custom touch.
The single-seater will be handed over before the British Grand Prix in 2024, during a special event at Aston Martin’s technology campus in Silverstone, which was inaugurated last July during the British Grand Prix. The winner will also be entitled to a factory tour.
For now, the bidding stands at €100,000, but there are still 18 days remaining. To give you an idea, a 2006 McLaren Mercedes-Benz used in races will be auctioned off for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with an estimated value between $2,500,000 and $3,500,000, which is between €2.3 million and €3.3 million.
This showcar will therefore be much cheaper but could start at around 300,000€. It is a replica based on Aston Martin’s CAD files and designed with the same materials. Therefore, there is no engine or electronics.
