The BottAss: When Valtteri Bottas gets naked for a good cause
Good news for all Valtteri Bottas fans, the Alfa Romeo driver has launched his own calendar. Its uniqueness? It is filled with photos of the former Mercedes driver in the nude. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to prostate cancer research.
It all starts with a simple photo, posted by Valtteri Bottas’ partner on Instagram. We see him lying down naked in a river in Aspen, Colorado. This picture went viral. So much so that he gave his former Mercedes teammate, Lewis Hamilton, a signed copy to hang in his house. Hamilton had previously teased him about this photo.
Sharing a second snapshot in June 2023, a picture of him from behind, walking naked in a stream, really solidified the joke of « BottAss » for the Finnish driver, who also appeared in swimwear in « Drive To Survive ».
The Alfa Romeo driver has now released a 2024 calendar featuring 13 nude photos of himself for the price of €19.90. For each calendar sold, €5 will be donated to Movember, an organization that helps men and raises awareness about physical and mental health risks. Movember also works towards research on prostate and testicular cancer.
Many of those who fundraise choose to grow a mustache throughout the month of November, but there are many ways to participate, such as making donations or assisting organizations.
For Bottas, the adventures will continue on the track of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, this Friday, with the free practice sessions.
