The FIA establishes working schedules for the Formula 1 team personnel in order to protect their health. However, the regulation allows for two exceptions per season before being penalized. As it is the last race of the year, some teams have taken advantage of their unused curfew allowance to violate it.

The Scuderia Ferrari, Mercedes, and Aston Martin have had staff working in the paddock outside of authorized hours. For all three teams, this is the second curfew violation out of a maximum of two allowed. As a result, there will be no penalties.

« Last night, the staff (Ferrari, Mercedes, and Aston Martin) associated with the operation of the car were inside the circuit during the thirteen and a half hour curfew period, starting at 10:00 PM on November 24th and ending three hours before the scheduled start time of P3 at 11:30 AM on November 25th. » provides details from the FIA race commissioners.
