Yuki Tsunoda voted driver of the day in Abu Dhabi
On the Yas Marina circuit, it was Yuki Tsunoda who managed to stand out and be voted Driver of the Day. Delivering a very strong race, the Japanese driver shone in the midfield.

For the last race of Franz Tost in Formula 1, Yuki Tsunoda gave a nice gift to his boss by bringing back the Driver of the Day title. The Japanese, starting 6th in the Grand Prix, fought throughout the race to finally secure a superb 8th place, ahead of Lewis Hamilton and only 4 seconds behind Fernando Alonso in 7th. After a clean race, with a strong pace and marked by overtakes, Tsunoda concludes this 2023 season for AlphaTauri in a good way.
Long in the midfield battle, Yuki Tsunoda also led the Grand Prix for a few laps before relinquishing his position to Max Verstappen, as has been customary this season. Unable to resist Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso in the second half of the race, he managed to maintain the best possible position. Today, AlphaTauri had a very good pace, and Yuki Tsunoda played a significant role in achieving this impressive result.
However, this 8th place does not allow AlphaTauri to surpass Williams in the constructors’ championship, who maintain a 3-point lead. Therefore, AlphaTauri finishes 8th this year with 25 points.
