This photo, taken by Mark Thompson, one of the photographers from Getty Images, who covers the Formula 1 season with Red Bull, especially in the garages, has almost gone around the world.
If we go back to the origins, Christian Horner, the director of Red Bull, and Toto Wolff, the director of Mercedes, are both from the same generation. The former was born in 1973 in England, the latter in 1972 in Austria. Both men have similar journeys, being car enthusiasts and first practicing as pilots. From one level to another, they become managers in F3, and then take the helm of a Formula 1 team. So far, so good.
However, in 2021, during the Mercedes/Red Bull showdown primarily due to the fierce battle between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen for the championship title, many Red Bull or Mercedes fans became divided, creating situations that we would rather not see.
Since then, if we can see Horner and Wolff speaking to each other, it only took one photo to change everything. F1 is above all a big caravan of people who interact a lot and seem to mostly have a lot of respect for each other. This photo puts the church back in the middle of the village, far from the hate-filled Netflix images.
